What!? A non-fiction book? Yep. The Demon-Haunted World is Carl Sagan’s book about why he doesn’t believe in things like aliens and why he uses science to guide his belief in a rational world.
I confess it was really hard for me to get through this book. Not because I disagreed with anything the author had to say—It’s more like it was because I agreed so much with almost every idea he put forward that it became almost too much like he was preaching to the choir.
But I did like many of the things he said and I did think his arguments for rational thinking are about the best you can find anywhere.
